Offers of support

therapy tailored to meet your needs
I offer initial assessment sessions to explore your difficulties and identify a focus for our work together.
Further sessions will remain focused on your goals, supporting your development of skills and confidence to work towards your potential.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is
a widely used, evidence-based talking therapy recommended by leading clinical guidelines, including NICE, for a range of mental health difficulties.
CBT is an effective, structured approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected, and supports you in developing practical strategies to create meaningful change.
This approach has a strong research foundation and is proven to be effective for conditions such as depression, anxiety (including OCD and phobias), trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder, and other emotional difficulties. It is a goal-focused, collaborative therapy that equips you with lifelong skills to manage challenges, reduce distress, and improve overall wellbeing.
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
Our sessions are informed by Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). CFT is an evidence-based approach designed to help people who experience high levels of self-criticism, shame, or difficulty being kind to themselves.
Sessions focus on developing a more compassionate and supportive relationship with yourself, helping you feel safer, more balanced, and more emotionally resilient.
CFT draws on psychology, neuroscience, and attachment theory to help you understand how your mind responds to threat, achievement, and safety.
Many people find their “threat system” is overactive—leading to anxiety, self-criticism, or overwhelm—while their soothing system is underdeveloped.
CFT works to strengthen this soothing system through compassion-based practices, supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing.
The balance of these approaches in our sessions can vary depending on your individual needs and preferences.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR)
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), is an evidence-based therapy designed to help people process and recover from difficult or traumatic experiences. EMDR is recommended in clinical guidelines, including NICE, as a first-line treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
EMDR works by helping the brain safely reprocess distressing memories that may feel “stuck,” reducing their emotional intensity and impact. This is achieved through a structured approach that combines focused attention on memories with gentle bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping.
EMDR is a collaborative, supportive therapy that can help you move forward, feel less overwhelmed by the past, and regain a sense of control and wellbeing.
